I received my ridiculously amazing December Ipsy bag a few days ago, but wanted to wait to post a review until I really got the chance to try everything out, so here goes:

The Breakdown

 Image
Nyx Ultra Pearl Mania Loose Pigment in Yellow Gold - This retails for $3 at Nyxcosmetics.com. I wasn’t sure about this color at first, but using this only in the corners of my eyes and combined with other (darker) shadows on my lids, it adds a really nice sparkle. It’s a brighter gold color, which is nice. I will probably blend it with my Matt Batali eyeshadow that I received in last month’s bag.

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eyeliner in Zero - This travel size is worth approximately $10. I’ve actually never used UD eyeliner before (shocking, right?) and I’m happy to report that I love it! It glides on smooth and stays on…yes, please! It does what it claims to do and does not smudge at all once it has set.

Mirabella Primer For Face and Eyes - This retails for $29, and can be purchased from mirabellabeauty.com. I desperately needed an eye primer, so this is perfect! It comes out like an oil, but sets more like a powder, I really like this and notice a big difference when using it.

Be a Bombshell Gloss in Hot Mess - This retails for $14 and can be purchased from http://beabombshellcosmetics.com. I actually already have this, so I will be gifting it to my sister. With a couple of coats, it provides a beautiful, rich red with a great shine.

Mai Couture Highlighting Papers - This retails for $28. I had some trouble with these at first. They are super easy to use, but at first, I felt like they weren’t rubbing off at all and then BAM, I was way over-highlighted. I need to have a lighter hand with these. On a side note, once I was done highlighting my face, I used the paper on my chest and arms and it looked great! Gave me an instant tan and glimmer.

The bag
- I had to mention the bag itself because it matched SO perfectly with the Holiday Tote I got from Bath and Body Works on Black Friday! I will be taking all 3 of these on my trip to California next week!

Urban Decay Naked Skin BB Cream
- I was also sent a sample of the UD Naked Skin BB Cream to try out before it even hits the shelves! Horray! I do have some mixed feelings on it though :/ Urban Decay claims that Naked Skin Beauty Balm will help even skin tone and minimize pores, lines, wrinkles, and redness instantly.  It firms skin over 8 weeks time and protects with SPF 20 and Pepha which inhibits DNA damage.  Vitasource and dGlyage firm the skin and improve elasticity.

What I like is the cute little bottle itself (I’m a sucker for aesthetics) and the way it goes on powdery and leaves me with a powdery, naturally smooth look. I also like the minty scent.

What I’m not so wild about is that the color is sort of orangey, so I can only use a little bit or else I look like I have a bad fake tan. However, just a little of this stuff doesn’t provide the coverage I need, it’s more like a tinted moisturizer. This would be better for someone who wants very light coverage with major benefits over the long run. For me, I just need more coverage or a lighter, more natural color that I could layer.

In Summary

If this bag doesn’t put you in the holiday spirit, I don’t know what will. This is one of those bags that you look at online and kick yourself for not subscribing sooner…except in this case, I got lucky and subscribed to Ipsy a couple of months ago, during their severe upward trend.
