Olay Fresh Effects Powered Contour Cleaning System with Shine Minimizing Cleanser
I was thrilled to receive this because I do not have any type of cleaning brush or appliance and this fit the bill nicely. I don’t have anything to compare this to, but I personally love everything about it. The vibrating brush feels great when you are using it, so the minute of use flies by. It has soft little plastic-y bristles that are not stiff or uncomfortable at all. It claims to be able to easily glide over the contours of the face and it really does. It just kinda glides over the face.
The pore cleanser works great, smells amazing, and leaves my skin feeling soft, not dry or stiff at all. Only a little bit is needed to produce a rich lather. Did I mention it smells SOOO good?!
Does It Work?
So the ultimate question: Does it work as it was intended to? YES! It actually did cut down on the shininess I sometimes get on my forehead by the end of day, it minimized the appearance of my pores, and made my nose look better after the very first use.
Would I Buy It?
YES! I think I’m hooked on this and going forward, I would definitely buy the cleanser as well because I think they work great together.
Skinnygirl Daily On-the-Go Bar
These are only 180 calories and taste great. I split it with my fiance and he kept referring to the Greek yogurt as “white chocolate” so that’s always a good thing.
Would I Buy It?
I probably would not buy this going forward. Compared to other bars, it tastes significantly better, but I’m just not a bar kinda girl.
Not Your Mother’s Beach Babe Texturizing Sea Salt Spray
I currently own Not Your Mother’s volumizing hair spray and I really like it, so I was thrilled to get this spray.
Does It Work?
I use a more expensive texturizing spray on a daily basis, so I was excited to compare this to it. This actually worked better than my favorite texturizing spray and this will make it to my permanent beauty arsenal. I find that it works better on dry hair and doesn’t cut down on frizz as much as I would like, but it provided a tighter wave that I love. This smells AMAZING…at first, I thought it smelled like marshmallows, then I thought it smelled like coconut…regardless, it reminds me of the beach and smells great.
Would I Buy It?
YES! I’m excited to have found a new texturizing spray that costs less and works better than my current one!
Secret Clinical Strength Stress Response
This is unique because it is designed to protect you from sweat caused by heat, movement, AND stress. It has a “Serene Citrus” scent that smells SO good.
Does It Work?
This really does work to prevent sweat and I felt that it worked better than my current deodorant, but there were some things that I wasn’t so crazy about. After the black shirt test, I realized that this is not a clear deodorant, so it left white streaks on my clothes. It also proved to be somewhat difficult to wash off in the shower.
Would I Buy It?
I would not buy this deodorant going forward because I prefer spray deodorants or completely clear and undetectable deodorant. However, the smell is intoxicating so I have found myself reaching for this instead of my standard deodorant.
